Throwing Large with Isaih Porter - Workshop Recording

$40.00

This is a previously recorded workshop. You will have access to the recording of this workshop for 90 days. Once your purchase, I will send you an email with the access info!

In this 90-minute workshop, Isaih will take us through his process for throwing a large vase on the potter's wheel. With over a decade of experience, Isaih will be able to provide helpful tips and tricks for both novice and advanced potters. We will focus on centering in parts, minimizing water usage, double-ribbing, and other techniques that will have you on your way to making your largest work yet.

Isaih Porter is a small-batch studio potter based out of Santa Barbara, in beautiful Southern California. His work is inspired by the ardent coastline and carries a humble reverence for the craftspeople of yore. Honing his craft over the past decade, Isaih produces bespoke ceramics that bring often understated excitement and whimsy into your home. From functional objects like everyday bowls or your daily-driver mug to over-the-top statement pieces like five-gallon pitchers or three-foot tall cookie jars, Isaih creates vessels to be lived amongst and together with. Isaih is also passionate about spreading ceramic knowledge and has been teaching classes both virtually and in person for several years.
