This class is for anyone who is considering transitioning their pottery hobby into a full time business. Giving you the steps to take over your first year of setting up your business. Kara shares the wisdom of her nine years of full time pottery, discussing the various areas you need to consider before taking the leap, including: creating a collection, building a brand, how to reach an audience, how to make your pottery profitable, how to stay sane and healthy in the process and lots more.

Kara is a self taught potter, beginning as a hobbyist in 2005. After finishing her fine art degree, Kara was working in a 9-5 office job and needed to do something creative to keep sane so tried an evening pottery class and was hooked. Being a potter felt like it was something other people did - always a little too far out of reach. But in 2015, Kara took the plunge, gave up the day job to follow her dream and set up her studio. Now Kara has had her work stocked in Michelin starred restaurants, Fortnum & Mason as well as many small shops and galleries across the UK and wider world. She teaches pottery to 100's of students across the globe and offers business coaching via her Patreon: Pottery Club. Kara wrote her first book in 2021 'Pottery for Beginners'.
