Ceramic Jewelry with Deanna Poelsma - Workshop Recording

$40.00

This is a previously recorded workshop. You will have access to the recording of this workshop for 90 days. Once your purchase, I will send you an email with the access info!

In this 90-minute workshop we will explore the tools and handbuilding techniques Deanna uses when creating her colorful art deco inspired jewelry.
By the end of this session you will know how to create both stud and dangle earrings, how to load and fire jewelry in the kiln, how to attach findings, tips and tricks when lustering, and common mistakes to avoid when you’re first starting out.

I began my artistic journey in 2009 by attending the Columbus College of Art & Design, where I earned my BFA in Fine Art with a focus in ceramics and small scale metals. In the years following graduation I taught art,  restored art, and served in the non-profit arts sector as a grant maker, but always had a desire to create full-time. In 2021 I decided  to take a chance on myself, formed Glazed & Confused Creations, and began to pursue my craft as a full-time career.
Having been born and raised in Florida, my work is heavily influenced by the colors of the island and Caribbean, while my designs are inspired by the Art Deco architecture I came to love after moving north.
