  • Taking classes from Tzipporah was just what I needed this year. Having a flexible format that allows me to learn virtually and have replays to watch has really allowed me to grow my practice. I have taken the oil bottles class and the throwing more efficiently class and can say that both have led me to finally getting an oil botttle design after two years and more ease at my wheel. I am so thankful for Tzipporah’s thoughtfulness and care bringing this space together to allow us potters to learn. Sometimes the YouTube’s and reel hacks only get you so far. The ability to ask questions and see every part of the process really makes a difference. I look forward to taking more classes in this format.

  • I love these workshops - they are a good balance of instruction and discussion. I don't feel like i'm in a class so much as sitting down for a coffee with fellow potters for an hour or so. The ability to pull up the class to re watch portions of it later is super handy and convenient.

  • I am very grateful I have gotten to watch the virtual workshop with Dara Schuman and a sculpture virtual workshop with Christina Orthwein - I learned so much from both of them and the zoom format was engaging and participatory. The host is welcoming and any questions I had were answered - The workshops were a very good length of time (not so long it interfered with my day and not too short where I felt I didn’t get enough information). Each workshop was different and influenced by the teaching style of the instructor which was refreshing and added to the uniqueness of each topic. Overall the virtual workshops are both entertaining to view and offer educational learning environments. They were very reasonable priced and I plan on taking many more in the future! I highly recommend you give one or many a try - you can’t go wrong with them!!

  • Don’t hesitate to take one of the virtual classes offered through Sipor Ceramics. Tzipporah makes these classes welcoming and comfortable for everyone to learn something new from some amazing potters. I’ve taken two classes, from Liz Cohen @lizcohenceramics and Ryan Durbin @rdceramics, both were packed with info and tips. Tzipporah engages with the potters, asking questions from students. It’s just a really great format.

  • I have enjoyed the lineup of workshops you have to offer and the expertise of the professional potters you choose to host! I really enjoyed the workshop with Liz Cohen which reignited my curiosity to incorporate tape resist for surface design and glazing. Thanks for always building the clay community and supporting potters of all ability levels!

  • These virtual workshops are such a great way to learn and grow your skills at the right price! I’m always searching for ways to advance my knowledge and the fact these are live virtual makes it so easy. Thank you so much for putting these together!

  • I have taken a few classes from Sipor Ceramics. I have enjoyed each and every one of them. She is a great teacher who is patient and explains everything in a very learnable way. Tzipporah has a fantastic personality and brings a lot of herself to each and every class. Not only are the classes fantastic, but Tzipporah herself is so available to questions and support. I feel like she is my biggest cheerleader. She gives me more confidence to take risks in my work, and to go outside my comfort zone. I am grateful for all of her help, and so thankful that I found her.

  • I’ve been in the pottery world now just a couple of years and I love everything about it! I have so many areas I want to explore but live in a fairly small town with very limited ceramic instruction/workshops available. I stumbled upon Tzipporah’s instagram page last year and read about her online workshops! I felt like I hit the jackpot!! While in-person instruction is ideal, this is absolutely the next best thing. I immediately signed up for almost every single one! She has curated such a fantastic mix of ceramic instructors and topics, it’s hard to pass any of them up. My class list (so far) includes: all about throwing bowls, fundamentals of wheel throwing, screen printing with underglaze, throwing large, get a grip - handles, mold making, figure sculpting 1 and 2, and pricing pottery. For starters, Tzipporah is lovely and everything about her is pure joy. So there’s that! The class/workshop format is great because you can join live via zoom and interact with the instructors/ask questions OR if the time doesn’t work for you, you have access to the recording for 60 days! You can watch and rewatch! I LOVE these workshops and have learned SO MUCH!! Thank you, Tzipporah, for your time and energy you’ve poured into this endeavor! You are wonderful in every way!!

  • In the past 6 months I’ve taken several of Tzipporah’s pottery classes. Specifically, I took Nesting Bowls, Basics, Trimming, and Bowls from Tzipporah herself and Attaching Handles, a workshop she hosted. As a retired teacher and new potter, I can say that Tzipporah is an amazing instructor! She is very linear in her teaching approach, and has solid tips for helping with common potter problem areas…centering, pulling, etc. Her teaching style fits my learning style to a “T.” However, it is her authenticity, her humility, and her sense of humor (along with her incredible instruction techniques) that keep me coming back. I cannot recommend these courses enough!
